high energy LASER cube polarisers
MPO’s high energy cube polarisers offer superior performance compared to plate or window polarisers.
Exceptional resistance to laser damage is ensured through the use of optical contacting process, rather than the use of epoxies or optical cements that lower the LIDT.
The benefit of using a cube rather than a plate polariser is that they offer no beam deviation through the prism – the two beams are separated by 90° with the S-pol being reflected and the P-pol transmitted. They also offer a higher extinction ratio than plate polarisers and because they are optically contacted can accommodate a high energy laser pulse of >15J cm^2 in 20nsecs. We offer a range of off the shelf 25mm versions but also specialise in custom wavelengths and sizes up to 50mm.
Other Polarisers
For some applications, a simpler design or lower specification product is sufficient. We offer epoxy-bonded cube polarisers for use at wavelengths above 414mn. We also fabricate plate polarisers for those customers who need them.
