We love a tradeshow and conference and even if we’re not exhibiting, we still enjoy getting out of the office and off to an event where we can meet customers – old and new. So it’s with no little excitement that Key Account Manager and Large Optic Specialist Chris Bridle is packing his bags and off to Prague next week to attend OPTICS + OPTOELECTRONICS.
SPIE’s biennial event showcases the latest developments in optical and optoelectronic technologies. Hosted at the Clarion Congress Hotel in Prague, the combined conference and exhibition will bring together scientists and engineers from around the world to share breakthroughs and network with each other to discuss current trends in photonics technologies. Overarching themes include
- High-power, high-energy, and high-intensity lasers
- Petawatt-class laser systems
- Optical sensors and integrated optics
- Non-linear optics and laser acceleration
- Holography and quantum optics.
The conference will feature over 650 presentations across sixteen technical topics, professional development opportunities, and networking events. This year also collocated with the 8th International Workshop on Specialty Optical Fibers and their Applications (WSOF) 2025, offering additional insights into specialised optical technologies.
Why We’re Attending
This conference aligns perfectly with our mission to advance laser technology through innovative optical solutions. Our high laser-induced damage threshold (LIDT) coated optics are at the heart of many high-energy research lasers. We’re attending to:
- Ensure we stay up to date with new developments in high-energy laser optics.
- Learn about emerging requirements from research laboratories and OEM customers.
- Discuss new approaches to enhancing optical components performance and reliability.
- Connect with potential partners and customers who share our commitment to pushing the boundaries of laser technology
Connect with us in Prague!
While we won’t be exhibiting, Chris Bridle will be attending the conference sessions and networking events. He’d love to meet with you to discuss your specific optical needs for high-energy laser applications or simply exchange ideas about the future of laser technology over a beer or a coffee.
If you’re attending SPIE Optics + Optoelectronics 2025 and would like to meet, please reach out to us before or during the conference and let us buy you a drink.
Finally
We look forward to an inspiring week of innovation, collaboration, and knowledge sharing at SPIE Optics + Optoelectronics 2025. See you in Prague!
