High-energy laser optics
We specialise in optical components for high-energy laser systems, both flat up to 500mm and spherical/aspherical up to 300mm in diameter and polarisation optics.
Our optics have two attributes that make them special. Firstly, the high laser-induced damage threshold (LIDT) coatings and secondly, the very high degree of flatness.
MPO supplies both standard and fully customised optics.
High energy laser systems require optics with the highest possible laser-induced damage threshold (LIDT) in order to provide consistent and accurate performance over time. We understand the parameters that effect laser damage threshold and therefore control process at all stages of fabrication to minimise sub-surface damage, surface roughness and coatings.
We design, process, coat and test optics in our facility on the Isle of Man. Using the most advanced equipment combined with our expertise, we ensure that our customers are supplied with the highest standard components.

Most of our customers use customised components in their laser systems. These can be variants of standard products or of a completely unique design.
